Infectious Disease Alert Babesiosis — Increase in Reported Cases in the United States Aug, 2019 Babesiosis reports ranged from 909 in 2012 to 2,074 in 2015.  … 94.5% of cases were in seven states, (New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Rhode Island) and two from the Upper Midwest (Wisconsin and Minnesota). The only other states reporting more than 100 cases were Maine and New Hampshire, where cases increased over the years of the study.
